Love this unit! I used it at a live gig recently and the response by musicians and non-musicians was overwhelming.
I posted 2 videos on social media that have received nearly 1,000 views. 5 people so far have told me they're going to buy one.
Perfect service. TOP
X marks the spot. What a treasure!!!
My old floor acoustic amp was great for many years and had most of these distortions. BUT . . . it weighed 40 pounds, and the hassle of cables and power cords.
Tonewood Amp has seriously wrecked playing regular guitars for me. The amount of effects and depth it adds to my private jam sessions unreal. I love this product. I was also surprised when I plugged into the PA system, I honestly think this device sounds better than when I run through my effects pedals; so much warmth and fullness it adds to the experience, almost as if you were to mic the guitar only with more feedback control.
Bought it so I can use my Tonewood amp on another guitar. What's to go wrong? So-far-so-good.
Extremely easy to install and adds such a rich sound to my bland acoustic guitar. Exactly what it said it would do and more.
Used other rechargeable energizers. They would slowly decay the voltage. Effecting the sound. The tenavolts stay right at 4.6 and no decay, they last longer too.
Easy installation and many choices for a great sound
Like the added effects and sound quality it gives. I'm new with it and still experimenting but glad I decided to try it. Will show to others and recommend.
ToneWoodAmp SOLO for Electric-Acoustic Guitar
This is an amazing effect processor.
It makes my guitars sound like Heaven. I installed the magnets into three of classical acoustic guitars.
This way I can still switch guitars and all I have to do is easily remove the the effects processor from the back of my guitar and magneticly attach it to my other guitar plug in the pickup and voila back making music.
I keep it on 1hall decay at 12 volume 20. That is the sound that is so inspiring. I have not plugged in my pedal board since I got this product.
OK, so I received my new ToneWood Amp and while it seemed to work the display was not functioning and you could not control it. A call to the factory and two days later I had my replacement unit. They could not have provided better service. And I love it. I thought it might be hard to install. It was easy. I thought it would be complicated to operate. It is easy. I thought it might make a small improvement in the sound of my Taylor 314CE. It is such a huge difference. It is like playing through an effects loop except it is all coming from the guitar. It has the capability to alter the way you play, and how good you sound. Buy it!
after receiving the tonewood, hooking it up figuring it out. found the gain setting has alot to getting the clear sound of the effects without disorting. amazing like having a pedal board but not. great effects will come in handy
Superb service and communication.
I make oval shaped zithers with 22 strings and a hollow body. I am incorporating the TWA into the one I’m currently building. I love the versatility of the TWA.
This made an amazing difference to the sound of my cheap guitar. The installation was easy enough. I’m still exploring all the different settings. So far I’ve been very happy with it. Thanks!
The ToneWoodAmp can be anything from subtle to in-your-face! I apply just a little reverb and chorus to give my acoustic guitar the sparkle that it deserves. More aggressive affects are possible if you’re into that sound. The bottom line is, ToneWoodAmp allows my guitar to sound as good as I always knew it could!
This thing is AMAZING. In all honesty, it's hard to get my acoustic out without throwing this thing on it as well. Installation was relatively straightforward (though I think I got lucky that my larger hands and arms could fit through my guitar's sound hole, so your mileage may vary), and it's honestly inspired me to play differently and more creatively than before.
The only downside that I've found is that (at least on my guitar) it can be tricky to find the sweet spot every time you put it on and may require some playing and adjusting of its position until you get it right, but that's not a big deal to me and not worth taking a star off.
Also, if your guitar's pickup system has a phase switch like mine, turn it on BEFORE messing with any of the notch filters and it should drastically reduce any feedback you might get
I like it enough to buy one for my brother, and I did.
The Tonewood amp sounds so good and it’s invigorated my joy in playing.
Absolutely love it! Hard to put my guitar down at this point, can’t wait to play again and hard to play without the ToneWoodAmp now. It brings everything to life!
This thing is amazing! I cannot put my classical guitar down since I received my ToneWoodAmp.
Playing my guitar without the unit on it now sounds stale. Turn on the unit and WOW! Sounds like heaven on earth.
I like the Hall reverb the best. Dial in the decay around 12 with the volume around 18 and listen to the magic.
I’m even playing better with this unit on. The cleaner I play the more the effect sings. I also use the kna pickups in all my classicals. They work great.
I recently used the ToneWoodAmp on my Flamenco gig and people were telling me how beautiful my guitar sounded. The DI effect is perfect for plugging in my amp or PA system. I also used a microphone to capture all of the tone now coming out of my guitar. Fantastic.
I put the x braces in two of my guitars. I’m going to purchase additional x braces for all of my Acoustic and Classical guitars.
